Ivana Podunavac is a Ph.D. student of Applied Physics at the Faculty of Science, University of Novi Sad in Serbia, and a Research Assistant at BioSense Institute in Serbia. Ivana’s field of research includes Lab-on-a-chip (LOC) systems with integrated sensors and biosensors for different applications in pathogen detection. It assumes the design and modeling of microfluidic systems, as well as LOC system realization in different fabrication technologies. Besides, her field of research regarding sensing assumes microwave sensors, impedance-based detection, and electrochemical biosensors. Based on her scientific expertise, Ivana is involved in EU funded IPANEMA project (GA No 872662), and together with Ph.D. Jasmina Vidic, and the INRAe team working on the realization of low-cost solutions of biosensors for applications in pathogen detection.
