Personal statement

Master 2 student in microbiology, I have started my internship at the Micalis Institute in December 2017 under the collaboration of Marion Leclerc, leader of the PhylHom team and Nalini Ramarao, leader of the PIMS team. I have been assigned to the MicrobNO project, part of the INRA Metaprogram MEM (MetaOmics of Microbial Ecosystems), which aims to understand the role of the human commensal microbiota in the context of enteric pathogen infection. My objective is to study the in vitro effects of nitric oxide exposition onto gut-associated microbial communities.

Research interests

I am interested to study human microbiome at the interface host, commensals and pathogen to decipher changes in the composition of human gut microbiome during infection. Understanding the diversity and metabolic functions of microbial communities in their ecological niche using -omics methods and bioinformatic tools represents an exciting topic associated with technological and scientific challenges.
