Dr. Jasmina Vidic

I have extensive experience within both biosensor elaboration and protein biochemistry. I am a research engineer at INRAE, Jouy en Josas, France and associated lecturer of several Universities. At INRAE, I worked on development of new type biosensors for investigating of either membrane receptors, unstructured proteins or DNA. My work consisted in the development of SPR immunosensors (Influenza virus, prion protein, odorant molecules), and electrochemical DNA and/or immunobiosensors for pathogen detection and monitoring (Hepatitis A virus, Influenza virus, Bacillus cereus, Campylobacter, Listeria). Currently my research focuses on bacterial pathogen detection in food (milk, chicken meat) and water.

Other projects consist in nanobiotechnology, including development of bi-metal oxide nanoparticles with antibacterial activity for smart food packaging and nanometer scale structured surfaces for optical enhancement in chemiluminescence and fluorescence.
