I have a Master's degree in "Infectiology: Microbiology, Virology, Immunology" (IMVI) and I am specialized in "Fundamental Microbiology" at the University of Paris Diderot. I am a PhD student since January 2022 in the MicrobAdapt team under the direction of Jasmina VIDIC . Previously, I was a study engineer under the direction of Alexandra GRUSS.

Staphylococcus aureus is a worldwide threat for humans and animals. It is the first gram-positive germ responsible for nosocomial infections in France. The most dangerous strains pose a major public health problem because they are multi-resistant to antibiotics. For a successful treatment of infectious diseases caused by S. aureus and for a more rational use of antibiotics, its rapid and accurate detection becomes essential.

Thus, my thesis topic is to develop a rapid diagnostic tool based on a portable electrochemical biosensor that will quantitatively detect S. aureus cells sandwiched between magnetic beads and gold nanoparticles decorated with methylene blue. This specificity of detection will be ensured by the use of aptamers, 3D DNA molecules.
