Description du Projet:

I take part in the project of bacterial cell remodeling by viral infection in collaboration with Dr. Paulo Tavares. In this project, we are using bacteriophage SPP1 that infects the Gram-positive bacterium Bacillus subtilis. We aim to understand molecular and cellular mechanisms which are involving in viral genome replication factory and assembly of viral particles in bacterial cytoplasm. Here, I am using super-resolution microscopy to investigate spatial and/or dynamic localization of replication factory and viral particles in the cytoplasm of bacterium. For this purpose, I am performing 2D-3D Structured Illumination Microscopy and single-particle tracking Photoactivated Localization Microscopy.
