Olivier Berteau, research director at UMR Micalis and head of the ChemSyBio team, has been awarded the “Laurier INRAE 2025 ” – Scientific Challenge Prize for his pioneering work on oxygen-sensitive metalloenzymes. Thanks to the development of a unique anaerobic platform and close collaborations with the SOLEIL synchrotron, his team has revealed previously inaccessible enzymatic mechanisms, paving the way for bio-inspired applications in health and the environment.
This distinction highlights the excellence and creativity of his research, as well as the collaborative dynamic he fosters within the unit.
